Strategic, marketing-oriented expert in quantitative research

He is a strategic, marketing-oriented expert in quantitative research among children, teens, and parents.  He brings nearly 30 years of experience to Funosophy, across an extensive variety of issues and applying a plethora of research techniques.  He offers both scientific discipline and creative thinking and problem solving to advertising, marketing, product development, and licensing issues.

He has designed, conducted, analyzed and reported several hundred youth-focused research studies.  Among his many accomplishments are cutting-edge quantitative research studies on attitudes and habits toward education among grade and middle school children, developing and applying a cost-effective research system for TV advertising testing, tracking kids’ and mothers’ involvement with new forms of media, and assessing brand equity of over 200 licensed properties.

He has served as Consumer Research Manager for Mattel, Inc, Manager of New Product Development for Yamaha Corporation of America, and Associate Research Director at Porter Novelli.  He holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees in Marketing from Michigan State University and is a member of the Market Research Association, the American Marketing Association, and the Qualitative Research Consultants Association.  He serves on the Michigan State University Marketing Board of Advisors.
